Employment: Information
The types of roles we tend to recruit for include teaching, learning support, care roles such as night-waking support, auxiliary support and administration – though this list is not exhaustive. The Sheiling Trust, our parent charity, is the employer. Terms and conditions include generous sickness and holiday benefits. The Trust has a contributory pension scheme.
The roles we are currently recruiting for are listed in the Employment – Opportunities section, along with closing dates, job descriptions, person specifications and application forms. Roles are usually also advertised in local papers such as the Bournemouth Echo or Avon Advertiser. If you would like to apply for a position please download the application form pack and fully complete it by hand. Completed forms should be returned to the address shown on the form. Applicants' attention is drawn to our term dates, which can vary from local LEA dates (see Term Dates in the Prospectus section for details).
The Sheiling School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. Successful applicants will be required to obtain Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosures.
