Our School

We offer an inclusive and holistic education, combining care, education, therapeutic and creative activities, Riding therapy embedded in a social context that can offer meaning and a sense of belonging for the pupils. The pupils’ learning and development is fostered in class, house, the broader school environment and in the local community. Our curriculum provides opportunities for all pupils to learn and achieve, promoting their spiritual, moral, social and cultural development and preparing them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of adult life.

Based on the Steiner Waldorf curriculum, but adapted and extended to incorporate special educational approaches, the curriculum matches the development of the growing child and young person by offering increasing opportunities and broadening the contexts in which learnt skills, attitudes and aptitudes can be applied.

The Lower school embraces pupils up to the age of 16 and includes a Transition Phase for pupils aged 14 to 16 years. The three year Seniors Programme, for pupils aged 16 to 19, extends learning beyond the classroom, preparing pupils for their next phase of education.
