FriendshipsThe Sheiling School is a Camphill school, an independent residential and day school for children and adolescents aged 6–19 yrs who have a range of learning difficulties and special educational needs.  We serve both the local region - Dorset, Bournemouth, Poole, Hampshire and Wiltshire and local authorities across southern England.

Meal timeFounded on the principles of Rudolf Steiner, it is our aim to develop the whole person by fostering individual abilities, encouraging personal and social growth and teaching practical skills for life.  We aim to enable each individual to reach their full potential.

Tree cuttingA broad-based expertise in care and education is complemented by full medical facilities including a range of therapies and therapeutic activities.  We pride ourselves on a high degree of continuity and stability and on a good staffing ratio.  Within our therapeutic environment pupils can progress at their own level and work towards individual goals, whilst encompassing the benefits of being within a community setting.  We offer encouragement and support, together with a range of challenges and a wealth of social and cultural experiences.
