Staffing

The School employs a mixture of residential staff and people who come into the School to work on a daily basis. This provides a balance and diversity to the established security and continuity of the school community, which is based on the life-sharing commitment of resident staff and their families, as well as retired staff whoGardening live on-site.

As well as local employed staff we also attract permanent and temporary staff from around the world, which adds to the cultural diversity of the community. In keeping with the voluntary traditions of Camphill, we engage the services of gap-year students and volunteers from abroad who bring a youthful vigour and international flavour to our community, of which we are proud.

All staff members take part in thorough induction and in continuous professional training and development during their employment. We encourage all our staff to feel connected to and engage with the school’s development through regular school community forums and co-working days. An overview of roles, post-holders and qualifications is included in the policy document - accessible from the 'Policies' section.
