Therapies
The whole life of our community has therapeutic aims. The overall curriculum, based on the life in the classroom
and the houses, in itself provides a healing education. Many children and young people, however, need additional help to maximise the education offered and to achieve a greater fulfilment of their potential. This help can be provided by our individually designed special therapies and therapeutic activities.
The range of therapies and therapeutic activities includes Speech & Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Music, Art, Rhythmical Massage (According to Dr. Simeon Pressel), Curative Eurythmy, Specific Curative Movement Exercises and Colour Light. Some pupils also have access to the Fortune Centre for Riding Therapy, in the New Forest.
Sessions are prescribed in consultation with teachers, house coordinators and therapists. The activities are housed in our Raphael Therapeutic Centre, or delivered in the classrooms and houses.
